NeuropsychWorks, Inc. is a software development company specializing in producing computerized cognitive assessment tools for psychologists, neuropsychologists, and physicians. The first completed assessment tool is the Comprehensive Attention Battery. The CAB CPT and Forced Choice Cancellation Test are nearing completion.
The Comprehensive Attention Battery® (CAB) is a computer administered battery of 15 tests designed to assess the four primary factors of attention including encoding, shifting, sustaining, and focus-execute abilities. The CAB uses an advanced Touch Screen interface. This allows for consistent test administration between subjects, without the need for the subject to have any computer knowledge. Also, each test in the battery has a multimedia instruction program that allows the subject to have audio and visual instructions, which also allow the subject to have a trial run through the task requirements. By using a battery of tests with significant similarities between each other, such as motor inputs, stimulus, and increasing task demands, sophisticated analysis and interpretation of data is available that is not possible when using a collection of attention measures independently developed and normed.
The CAB assessment software is an advanced 32-bit program designed to be administered with an IBM compatible computer running Windows 95, 98, NT, ME, 2000, Windows XP or higher. A VGA display monitor and touch screen interface (supplied with the program) are also needed to run the CAB.

NeuropsychWorks, Inc. was founded by John Rodenbough, Psy.D. in 1996 to produce computer-based assessment tools for the neuropsychologist and psychologist.

Beyond the CAB, NeuropsychWorks, Inc. is also developing the CAB CPT and the Forced Choice Cancellation Test. The CAB CPT is a collection of numerous Continuous Performance Tests. The Forced Choice Cancellation Test is a forced choice extension to the Wisconsin Card Sorting Test that allows more in-depth assessment of reasoning and problem solving skills in a forced choice format. This format also allows for the addition of various validity measures to be done in conjunction with a test of reasoning without requiring the additional time used for such a task without other information being derived. Beyond these assessment tools we are also working on computer-based assessment measures of visual spatial and executive functioning. Future projects include integrated batteries for dementia and virtual reality based cognitive rehabilitation programs.
